Details below: Bunbury Hinterland Tour Cost: $80.00 (please book via the online registration form ) Time: 8:00am - 5:15pm Date: Monday, 1 October 2012 Meeting Place: Tours will pickup from Conference Hotels 15 minutes prior to Tour start time Inclusions: Highly qualified and knowledgeable guide, travel in luxury air - conditioned vehicle, Morning, Afternoon Tea , Lunch and all entry fees. Please dress in comfortable clothes and footwear as walking will be part of this tour. Discover “beyond” Bunbury as you travel the Golden Mile straight to the core of the Apple industry. You will head to the summit of the Darling Scarp and experience aspects of the mining and timber industry at the Greenbushes Discovery Centre before continuing through Blackwood Valley to Bridgetown. At Balingup you will have the opportunity to visit the unique galleries and speciality shops of the main street before stopping for a light luncheon at the local café to sample the local produce. In the afternoon you will travel though the countryside of Brookhampton, Preston Valley and into the delightful Ferguson Valley to surprise the whimsical inhabitants of Gnomesville. Homeward bound you will travel the Ferguson Wine Loop, Wildbull Brewery to take in the breathtaking vista of the rich farmlands overlooking Bunbury before returning to your hotel. Please dress in comfortable clothes and footwear as part of this tour is by foot. Journey along the Leschenault Estuary to view Historic Upton House and the Australind Church. The “Featured Wood Gallery Museum” is unique in its creative wood designs and displays of Australian, American Indian, U.S. Civil War Era and American West History. Experience bygone days at Kings Cottage built in 1860 for a glimpse of fashion, machinery, tools and furniture of this ear. Travel through the outer suburbs of Bunbury and visit the “Maidens” before exploring Big Swamp Wildlife park to visit the kangaroos, native birds and ducks. Your day concludes with a drive along the “back beach” for a panoramic view from Boulters Heights and the black and white checker Bunbury Lighthouse. BushTucker Winery and Brewery Tour of Margaret River region Cost: $95.00 (please book via the online registration form) Time: 10:00am - 5:00pm Date: Tuesday, 2 October 2012 Meeting Place: Tours will pickup from Conference Hotels 15 minutes prior to Tour start time Inclusions: Highly qualified and knowledgeable guide, travel in luxury air - conditioned vehicle, all winery entries, tastings and luncheon. Please dress in comfortable clothes and footwear as part of this tour is by foot. Take in the panoramic views of our forested vineyards and valleys from your comfortable air conditioned vehicle. Aboriginal, pioneer and wine heritage is professionally explained by your qualified nature and wine guide. Starting the day with a tasting at Flametree winery, you will then travel towards Yallingup to Lamonts Winery and then to the heart of the wine region for a tasting and a Bushtucker wild food lunch at Knotting Hill Estate. After lunch you will continue to The Grove Vineyard for tasting of Liquors and Sparkling before heading to the Margaret River Dairy Company to sample the local cheeses. Next stop is the nearby Margaret River Chocolate Company before finishing the day with a boutique beer tasting at Bootleg Brewery. Dolphin Discovery Cost:$88.00 (please book via the online registration form) Time: 8:00am - 1:30pm Date: Tuesday, 2 October 2012 and Friday, 5 October 2012 Meeting Place: Tours will pickup from Conference Hotels 15 minutes prior to Tour start time Inclusions: Highly qualified and knowledgeable guide, travel in luxury air - conditioned vehicle, 1.5 hour Dolphin Eco Cruise, Entry to Dolphin Discovery Centre, Bunbury City Tour and Two hours free time to chill out at a water front café or beach. Please dress in comfortable clothes and footwear as part of this tour is by foot. The Dolphin Discovery Centre is Australia's premier wild dolphin experience, offering four levels of interaction including Interpretive Centre and Theatre, Interaction Zone, Dolphin Swim Encounters (accompanied by a marine biologist), and Dolphin Eco Cruises. These products combined, provide a unique opportunity for one to discover more about these ambassadors of the ocean. The centre is a not for profit organization with a focus on tourism, research, education and conservation. The Dolphin Eco Cruises are operated by A.B.Sea Charters an extremely experienced and friendly operator. This is a one and a half hour cruise (approximately) within Koombana Bay. This experience will give you an amazing insight into the wonderful world of dolphins. The vessel provides an excellent viewing platform designed to get you as close as possible to the dolphins without getting your feet wet! Our informative commentary will provide you with knowledge on the behaviours and antics of the bottlenose dolphins as you witness them frolicking in their own environment. Enjoy your scenic trip into the beautiful Valleys of the Fergusons Hills boasting views to the ocean from your comfortable air conditioned vehicle. Starting the day with a wine and cheese tasting at Ferguson Falls Estate, you will then travel towards Burekup to Willow Bridge Estate and then to the heart of the Valley for a tasting and a Bush tucker lunch at Ferguson Hart Estate. After lunch you will continue to The Lavender Farm and then on to the small family run winery of Saint Aidan’s for a tasting of their famous chardonnay and cabernet blends. To finish the day you will have the opportunity to sample the superb handcrafted beers at the Moody Cow Brewery.
